Policy is incomprehensible
The residents of La Galera do not understand the municipal policy.
They only see that successive administrations are not achieving noticeable results.
One wonders whether the board is doing its best.

Squatters, Illegals, criminals and vagrants
The Municipality has been failing to implement its policy for more than 20 years.
If this continues, this urbanization will only be interesting for squatters, illegal immigrants, criminals who are in hiding somewhere and residents who do not pay taxes.

NO OFFICIAL URBANIZATION
The Municipality refuses to recognize De Galera de Las Palmeras as an official Urbanization.
A limited number of members have founded an association called “Palmeras de Altea”.
But only 50% of the owners are members of the association.

The benefits, but not the burdens
100 home owners do not contribute to maintenance and are therefore inaccessible to our boards.
None of the owners of vacant plots are members of the association. We do not know how many there are.
* Retrieving the names of owners who are not members is not possible.
* The Land Registry cannot or may not provide us with these names due to privacy rules.

Despondent and burned out
The association regularly has to replace board members because they are burned out as they are unable to obtain cooperation from the Municipality.
They are structurally opposed by the Municipality.
The Municipality imposes impossible demands on successive authorities and refuses to cooperate in recognizing the Urbanization.

– the resistance of the Municipality to solve problems also reduces the enthusiasm of the volunteers who are willing to help the board in fulfilling their many tasks.
– Board members are forced to close large holes in the asphalt themselves:
– Residents must be individually encouraged to have their own street swept in front of their own door.
– Outsiders throw their waste everywhere and nowhere.
– As a thank you for molesting our roads, contractors simply dump their waste in the valleys of our nature reserve
