2nd EPISODE

After the Municipality had the roads paved, they determined that these roads were unsuitable for traffic heavier than 15 tons.
Furthermore:
The roads were not equipped with sewers and there were no sidewalks for walkers.

Weight limitation
To prevent damage to the asphalt, after the asphalt was laid, a sign was placed at the entrance clearly stating that the area is prohibited for trucks heavier than 15 tons.

Te zware vrachtwagens zijn goed herkenbaar:

Three axles with 1 wheel on the left and 1 wheel on the right.
So a total of 6 or more wheels.

Every driver therefore knows exactly whether he is allowed to drive into the hamlet.
But the contractors and their drivers do not care about the ban.
They just destroy the roads and it doesn’t bother them that the bill ends up on the hamlet’s plate again.

Construction permits
Every year, the Municipality issues building permits for projects in our neighborhood.
But never with an explicit obligation to use trucks weighing a maximum of 15 tons.
Small effort, but too much effort for the Municipality of Altea.

ENFORCEMENT HANDLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Without consulting the board of the residents’ association, the Municipality decided at some point that construction companies could allow their trucks to drive through the Galera unhindered, regardless of their weight.
It is not clear to us when she decided that.
As we have heard, the Municipality decided to do this because otherwise it would not be possible to efficiently realize building plans on the plots that were still owned by the land speculators.
That is of course a fallacy, because by using smaller trucks, the roads would be spared, which could therefore lead to a flow of repair work.

IN THE WAITING ROOM
The association’s board has made numerous attempts to have the roads repaired over the past 20 years. But the Municipality has indicated that it will only repair the roads once all plots have been provided with a home.
There are still at least 104 undeveloped plots of land, so it will take decades before the current residents are provided with adequate roads.
If it is so important to have a sidewalk along the roads and street lights, why are the owners of these plots of land not obliged to install these things?

 FRUSTRATION ON PURPOSE
The editors of Findinet wonder on what basis a municipality can deliberately direct the molestation of roads that have been constructed on behalf of third parties, only to then hit the residents again with a refusal to repair the consequences of that action annually.
